Academics

The Certificate in Periodontics with Master's Degree program includes an advanced curriculum track that is conducted over a three-year period of time. This program actively recruits applicants who will strive for both clinical and academic excellence through the vigorous and continuous challenges provided to them.

While in this program, residents gain wide experience in all facets of Periodontology, making them well-rounded in their future profession. In fact, the mission of the Postdoctoral Periodontics Program is to produce the best clinical periodontists in the nation who will go on to give back to the profession of dentistry during the course of their careers.

Primary objectives of this program include:

  • Learning all aspects of periodontics and dental implant therapy
  • Gaining comprehensive knowledge of evidence through research
  • Teaching other health professionals in various aspects of the specialty

The academic path that students will follow during the course of this program includes courses in biostatistics, surgical anatomy and oral pathology.
