Our master’s degree program is open to students who have no prior health care experience. This is the first accredited master of science in respiratory care program in Texas and is one of only four first professional degree master’s programs in the country. Our program offers a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in health care to become leaders in the respiratory care profession.
The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and Master of Science in Respiratory Care programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), and program outcomes data can be found on the CoARC website at www.coarc.com/47.html.
In 2007, the program was visited and reviewed by CoARC and received a 10-year approval indicating full compliance with all accreditation standards.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care AND Master of Science in Respiratory Care programs are eligible to sit for the national board examinations given by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
