UTHSCSA VISIT Program

In ACETs VISIT program, faculty can arrange to have an ACET staff 'visit' their classroom, lab or clinic to observe teaching interactions with students. The faculty member and ACET consultant then get together to go over the observation notes and discuss methods to handle the inevitable rough spots that arise in any teaching situation.

In VISIT, faculty can also arrange to have their teaching videotaped which provides a powerful mechanism for self-assessment.

The VISIT program is designed to support the personal development of faculty teaching skills and is not designed to serve as a mechanism for formal evaluation of an instructors skills. VISIT feedback provided to faculty is completely confidential. ACET staff turn over all observation notes to the faculty member requesting the visit. Contact Dr. Roberta Ambrosino at 7-0934 or email ambrosino@uthscsa.edu for more information about the VISIT program.
