TEXAS (Teaching EXcellence & Academic
Skills) Professional Development Series

The TEXAS (Teaching EXcellence & Academic Skills) Professional Development Series is a series of monthly workshops and courses that address core teacher tasks and academic skills for faculty in health professions education. With the exception of one semester-long course, TEXAS workshops are available to UTHSCSA faculty and staff without charge. The TEXAS Series is conducted annually by the Division of Educational Research and Development (ERD) in the Department of Academic Informatics Services.

How do faculty register for TEXAS workshops?
Announcements and registration information are sent to the UTHSCSA faculty by e-mail 6 weeks prior to each workshop. Follow-up announcements appear 2 weeks before each workshop. Registration is handled by e-mail.

What does it cost to register for a TEXAS workshop?
If you are a UTHSCSA faculty or staff member, there is no charge to participate in these professional development programs.
