UT Medicine Information

UT Medicine Mail, Receiving and Courier Service Update

With the UT Medicine/Health Science Center integration of business processes, we have revised the receiving, mail and courier schedule to accommodate all UT Medicine locations timely and efficiently. The following information should be distributed to all UT Medicine personnel who utilize the services of mail, receiving, and courier. Delivery information for each location is detailed in the table located at UT Medicine Locations: Mail, Receiving, Courier Schedule (www.uthscsa.edu/business/genservices/UTM_Mail_Recv_Courier.pdf). These routes will be effective September 14, 2009.

Please note:

  • The UT Medicine Courier, reporting to Walter Stone, UT Medicine Sr. Project Coordinator, will be responsible for all cash management transports, payroll distributions, and special deliveries to UT Medicine key locations. The courier will also service those locations that are not serviced by existing Health Science Center routes for mail distribution and fee ticket pickup. These locations are: Santa Rosa North West, St. Luke’s, UT Medicine Clinics in University Hospital, and Westover Hills.
  • The UT Medicine Courier schedule for cash pickups and payroll distributions will remain the same. There will also be no change for those clinic locations using the armored service, Garda, for cash pickups.
  • HSC Mail Services and HSC Receiving will be responsible for mail distribution, fee ticket pickup, and package delivery for most locations as detailed in the attached.
  • All mail should be clearly labeled with information sufficient for delivery including: Department Name, Location/Building, Room Number, and Attention To. Fee tickets and other sensitive information should be secured for transport. Walter Stone will be ordering and distributing secure bags for transport of fee tickets and sensitive documents.
  • There will be morning and afternoon transport of mail to/from ASB and the MARC building to/from HSC Mail Services such that all outgoing mail will be delivered to USPS same day or within 24 hours. All inter-office mail and fee tickets collected for the day will be delivered the same day to ASB and the MARC.
  • CTRC UT Medicine locations should take mail to CTRC Mail Room on the 2nd floor Grossman for pickup by HSC Mail Services twice daily.

If you have questions about HSC Mail Services or HSC Receiving, contact Vikki F. Ross, Senior Director of Supply Chain Management & HUB Coordinator.

If you have questions about the UT Medicine Courier services, contact Walter Stone.
