Online Travel Booking Tool
GetThere
GetThere is an online booking tool made available to the UTHSCSA campus through our contracted travel agency, Corporate Travel Planners. GetThere may be used by travelers and travel arrangers for airfare, lodging, rental car, and rail reservations.
Benefit
Ease of use may be the main reason why travelers and travel arrangers wish to use the online booking tool. For example, you are able to view state rate airfare (if available), alternate available flights, and edit traveler profiles online. Reduced booking fees are also available when booking travel through GetThere. (See "Quick Reference Guide" for details.) Utilizing GetThere through Corporate Travel Planners also gives travelers and travel arrangers access to negotiated discounts.
Travelers and Travel Arrangers will still have the full-service support of Corporate Travel's UT Booking Agents at any point if needed.
Getting Started
Register: Each Traveler or Travel Arranger requesting access to GetThere, must complete the GetThere Registration Form and send to the Purchasing Department attention Travel Office. Full instructions are available on the form.
Update Profiles: After registering, before booking travel, each traveler or travel arranger, should complete the travel profile section in GetThere for each traveler.
Access: Accessing GetThere is simple through the UTHSCSA Portal. (Portal Login > HSC Business Applications > Financials)

FAQ's
Q: Does every traveler need to be registered on GetThere?
A: No, only those travelers wishing to search or book their own travel need to register. The traveler's travel arranger may search and book for them.
Q: Does the traveler's profile have to be updated?
A: Yes, If the GetThere travel profile is left blank, it will overwrite the travel profile available to the full-service agents.
Q: Does GetThere replace the Travel Requisition?
A: NO, GetThere is a booking tool to reserve your itinerary, an Approved Travel Requisition is still required as usual to complete the ticketing of your reservations.
