CHARGE:
To serve in a consultative and advisory capacity to the President and the Vice President/Chief Information Officer, and to work with and assist the Director of Academic Informatics Services in promoting innovation and providing state-of-the art technologies and services in support of education and research. A primary activity of the Committee is to award annual Innovative Teaching Grants, and to evaluate the progress of previously awarded grants through periodic and final progress reports.
Term of membership: Three years
Additional Information: The committee meets monthly and its subcommittees may meet more often. The Committee may survey Health Science Center faculty and students about AIS priorities and the quality of technology and services, as well as advising about ways to increase faculty awareness and utilization of these technologies and services. Members of this committee are selected by the Vice President/Chief Information Officer, in consultation with the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs to assure both a diverse membership and a membership of faculty with specific expertise and understanding of informatics and their applications to education and research.
