(210) 567-3836 Dr. Johnson is the course director of Medical Gross Anatomy and Embryology, a 185 contact hour dissection course which over 200 medical and graduate students take yearly. She additionally supervises senior medical student electives in Advanced Anatomy of the Back, Head and Neck, Advanced Anatomy of the Thorax, Abdomen and Pelvis and Advanced Anatomy of the Extremities. Dr. Johnson lectures and supervises laboratories in Medical Neuroscience. She is the course director of the UTHSCSA Basic Science Review Course preparing sophomore medical students for the licensure exam. She is also active in health science center and community educational programs reaching out to elementary, middle school, high school and college students. In 1995 Dr. Johnson received the Minnie Stevens Piper Professor as one of the state's top educators. She currently chairs the Gross Anatomy Committee of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
