Dr. Philo's research is directed toward elaboration of the accuracy of
depiction of human anatomy in works of art, particularly the work of
Leonardo da Vinci. Works of other artists on view in museums and in
facsimiles in books and posters are also considered. This work includes
clarification of the source of the artist’s anatomical knowledge, the
history of the artist and the piece of artwork, and consultations with
psychologists on interpretations of the art.
