DCATS (Data Warehouse & Cactus Applications Training and Support) is a part of the IM-CSS (Information Management Client Support Service) Department. DCATS offers training and support for the application software that comprise the administrative business systems at the HSC. The routinely offered courses that introduce the user to the administrative business systems used in the normal course of business at the University include PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HCM8.9, PeopleSoft SMS (Space Management System), DRS (Document Review System), and Data warehouse. DCATS offers monthly labs for users who would like one-on-one help with specific applications. DCATS offers many support features for the end-user population at HSC. The DCATS website is an excellent source of information for both new users and the veteran users. It contains the DCATS Process Guides and materials for each system supported. Be sure to check it often for updated materials.

Calls <top> Calls are returned in the order they are received. If your call is of an urgent nature, leave that information in your voice message. When deemed necessary, DCATS will make a “house call” to assist in trouble shooting technical difficulties. DCATS can be emailed with questions at dcats@uthscsa.edu. These are answered continuously throughout the course of the day. User's may also fax DCATS at #567-2204. Training <top> The appropriate class must be completed to obtain security access to the requested business system. All classes are offered at no charge to the department. Once registered, a No-Show fee of $50.00 will be charged to the department in the event a registrant does not show for class. A class may be cancelled with a 48 hour notice at no charge by calling DCATS at #567-0180 or emailing DCATS at dcats@uthscsa.edu. The actual time it takes to complete each class varies depending on the number of participants, questions, and familiarity of participants with computers and the system. Classrooms are located at the Allied Health Building, Room 2.106 and at the Medical Building, Room 493.L, Computing Resources.
