Join us for the 3rd Annual Lilia Martinez Lecture in Laredo, Texas. Held on Wednesday, September 2, the event will feature Carlos Roberto Jaén, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Jaén is the Dr. John M. Smith, Jr. Professor and Chair in Family & Community Medicine. He will present a lecture titled "Preparing for the Flu: H1N1 (Swine) and Seasonal."
This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. Certificates of credit for participation will be offered to those who register by August 30th ($20 fee.)

Vulcan Material Fun Shoot

Join us for the 16th Annual Vulcan Fun Shoot benefiting the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at UT Health Science Center. Held on Saturday, September 21, the event will take place at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio. As we continue the quest for the cure!

Book and Author 2009

Marriot Rivercenter
The 18th Annual San Antonio Express-News Book & Author Luncheon will be held at the Marriott Rivercenter, located at 101 Bowie Street in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Book sales open at 10:00 a.m and the luncheon program starts at 11:30 a.m. More than $2 million has been raised to benefit the CTRC Phase I Clinical Research Program over the seventeen-year history of this fundraiser.
Each year, six prominent authors are invited to entertain the luncheon audience with captivating and witty tales from their best-selling books. Books are available to purchase at the event for the authors to autograph and personalize.
