Planned giving provides the avenue to leave a legacy of far greater impact than often is possible through gifts made during one's lifetime and the opportunity to influence the future.

The Laureate Society honors those that have included The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in their estate plans. It recognizes individuals who have made the decision that the University will benefit from the financial resources they have accumulated during their lives.

These gifts of a lifetime are becoming increasingly important as we make steady progress in becoming one of the nation's most distinguished universities.

To qualify for memberships, you can make a gift through one or more of the following vehicles:

* Bequest
* Life income gift such as a charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust or charitable lead trust.
* Retirement plan beneficiary designation.
* Life insurance policy beneficiary designation.

To become a member of The Laureate Society, please notify the Office of Development-Planned Giving of your intentions.

Members of The Laureate Society share a strong common bond of generosity and visionary leadership, nourishing the university’s continued success. We welcome the opportunity to recognize those who are helping to make the future possible.

Members will be invited to special campus events along with an annual dinner to honor their commitment.  You will also receive subscription to the Mission magazine and The Laureate Society newsletter.

We can provide sample bequest language for inclusion in your will or trust, or otherwise assist you with a plan that meets your philanthropic and financial goals.  If you have questions or to let us know of your interest in becoming a member of The Laureate Society, please call 210-567-5001.
