Council for Excellence in Women's Health
The Council for Excellence in Women’s Health was formed in 2007. It’s mission is to improve the physical and mental health of women in San Antonio by building awareness of women’s health challenges, and to promote a greater understanding of and initiate philanthropic support for the Health Science Center’s women’s health programs and initiatives. The council membership, currently comprised of 86 influential women leaders who live and work throughout San Antonio and South Texas, continues to grow.

Council for Excellence in Women's Health Roles
Council member’s work is instrumental in helping forge relationships between The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and key constituents throughout the region and state. To this end, we ask you and your fellow volunteers:

To learn about the women’s programs and initiatives at the Health Science Center

To serve as our sounding boards and act as “eyes and ears” in the community to help the Health Science Center fulfill its mission for excellence in Women’s Health.

To enlist other community leaders to serve as volunteers in support of Health Science Center women’s initiatives

To participate in Women’s Leadership Committee meetings and other appropriate events
