TASP Test: The TASP Test is not required for EMT enrollment.

Requirements for entry into the EMT-Basic course are the following:
(1) Applicants must be 18 years of age or older by the course completion date.
(2) Applicants must have a high school diploma from an accredited school or a GED by the course completion date.

Applications for admission to the Department of EHS Certification Program may be obtained by calling Allied Health Admissions, Office of the Registrar at (210) 567-2660, or the Allied Health Welcome Center, 1-866-802-6288; AHwelcome@uthscsa.edu. You are encouraged to apply online at Texas Common Application.

Application Deadlines

EMT-Basic applicants should submit completed applications, required documents and an official transcript (sealed) from the high school or college attended no later than April 1 for enrollment in May (Summer term); by June 1 for August (Fall term); and by November 1 for enrollment in January (Spring term).
