Admission and Application
Admission to the emergency medical technology program is competitive.
TASP Test: The TASP Test is not required for EMT
enrollment.
Requirements for entry into the EMT-Paramedic course are the
following:
(1) Must be currently Texas state or nationally certified as an
EMT-Basic
(2) Applicants must be 18 years of age or older by the course
completion date.
(3) Applicants must have a high school diploma from an accredited
school or a GED.
(4) Prefer applicants who have current CPR certification and Anatomy
and Physiology
from an accredited college or university.

Application Deadlines
EMT-Paramedic applicants should submit completed applications,
required documents and an official transcript (sealed) from the
high school or college attended no later than June 1 for
enrollment in the Fall (August).
