Comprehensive Ophthalmologist

    The Ophthalmology Department of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is seeking a dynamic, effective clinician and teacher to serve as a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at the University Center for Community Health (UCCH) Eye Clinic in San Antonio, Texas.  The candidate must be board-certified or board eligible, and be able to obtain a Texas medical license.  He or she should have demonstrated excellent Clinical and surgical abilities.  Candidates must also possess a desire to teach and mentor residents and demonstrate superior interpersonal skills.  The Department of Ophthalmology and the UCCH Eye Clinic a busy, diverse group practice where teamwork is valued.

     

    It is preferred that candidates have an interest in encouraging and supporting resident clinical research projects.  This is a full-time faculty position and academic rank will be commensurate with credentials.  Applicants must possess a Texas medical license or become licensed in Texas.  Salary is competitive and there is a generous benefit package.
