Project Profile

Primate Chambers for Laboratory Animal Resources (LAR)

Laboratory Animal Research (LAR) has new state-of-the-art quarters for their primates. These quarters include televisions so that animals will not get bored. Boredom leads to sickness and the HSC's goal is to always provide the best for their research subjects.

This project is in direct support for combined research with the French company Porsolt and includes a new water filtration system that helps to create a controlled water source for the research studies. Also included are primate chambers: cubicles that allow the primate to be focused on the task at hand and not to be distracted by external noises during the trial.
