Research Interests:
Oral epidemiology research; Development of community dentistry
programs in populations of low socio-economic status; Oral health
of Hispanics; Caries research in elementary school children focusing
on incidence, prevention, acculturation and risk assessment
Unique Technical and Clinical Research Capabilities/Instrumentation:
Experience with organization, operational arrangements and
training of interviewers for general surveys; Recruiting of subjects
and sample population maintenance; Bilingual English-Spanish (proficient
in reading, writing and speaking Spanish); Translation of documents
from English to Spanish.
