Research Interests:
Research and Development of Biomaterials; Quality Assurance and Compliance with American National Standards Institute/American Dental Association (ANSI/ADA) Specifications, and International Standardization Organization (ISO) Standards; Oral Epidemiology Research Surveys, Effectiveness of Cariostatic Agents, Water and Salt Fluoridation

 

Unique Technical and Clinical Research Capabilities/Instrumentation:
Extensive experience on research methodology, testing of biomaterials, project development and analysis. Use of pure cast Titanium in dentistry/Titanium processing equipment. - Dental porcelain and glass ceramics, toothbrushing abrasion testing, thermal cycling, color attributes of esthetic materials. Properties of impression materials, disposable gloves. Biocompatibility of materials.

Public health: Situation analysis, Feasibility and Cost-benefit Studies of Salt Fluoridation Programs. Fluoride determination -water, urinary excretion studies.

Population Studies: Oral health surveys design, planning, implementation analysis. Planning, implementation and evaluation of epidemiological surveillance systems for national oral health programs.
