The Alamo Advisory Board functions to facilitate development of a community-wide organized effort to streamline students through the "pipeline" into the health professions. The Alamo Advisory Board is composed of representatives of all five UTHSCSA health profession schools, a representative from the independent school districts, community colleges, undergraduate institutions, community health clinics and community based organizations. These are organizations in the Alamo region whose activities or programs are committed to increasing the competitive applicant pool of Hispanic students in the Health Professions. The Alamo Region Advisory Committee for the Health Professions Pipeline includes the following organizations and groups:

The Alamo
Advisory Board meets each month from 8:30-10:00 a.m. The meetings consist of discussions on upcoming activities and shared ideas that relate to education and health professions. All independent school districts, community colleges, community based organizations, undergraduate and health professions schools in the Alamo region whose activities or programs are committed to increasing the competitive applicant pool of Hispanic students into the Health Professions are eligible for membership to the Advisory Committee for Health Professions Pipeline. . . . .
