OHR 2007-033 - Human Capital Management Implementation
You have received a series of guidance memoranda concerning changes to business processes that will result from the implementation of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) 8.9. This implementation or “go-live” including both the new administrative software and the new business procedures is scheduled for Thursday, July 5, 2007.
Interactions with the Office of Human Resources: In conjunction with the implementation of HCM, the Office of Human Resources (OHR) has implemented a customer services unit to better serve our customers. This unit is using Automated Call Distribution (ACD) to best serve your needs. When you contact OHR at 567-2600, your call will be placed into a queue and answered in the order received. This does not prevent your calling any staff member within OHR directly if you wish by dialing his or her direct extension. A listing of these extensions can be found on the OHR web page at http://www.uthscsa.edu/HR/ohrstaff.htm .
Policies and Procedures: Since the changes to the Health Science Center’s business procedures and practices are so extensive and because a number of policies are impacted by these changes, OHR policies are being modified. The final drafts of these policies will be available in the Handbook of Operating Procedures once the U.T. System Office of General Counsel has reviewed and approved them. Meanwhile, procedures supporting HCM are documented in OHR guidance memoranda available on the OHR website (http://www.uthscsa.edu/HR/ohr_comms.htm) and in documentation provided within HCM through the UPK tool.
