The University of Texas Health Science Center established the UT Staff Advisory Council (SAC) on September 1, 2005. Directly linked to the U.T. System’s Employee Advisory Council (http://www.utsystem.edu/eac/) , the objective of this newly established council is to promote a positive and collaborative group of representatives who are committed to addressing the needs of the Health Science Center’s Administrative and Professional and Classified employees. The current council has 8 work units which represent non-faculty employees from all areas of the UTHSCSA campuses.

The Goals of the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) are:

• To serve as a representative advisory council for all non-faculty employees (staff)
• To provide a vehicle for communication of interest, concerns, and issues that affect staff at all UTHSCSA campuses, including the South Texas campuses
• To present recommendations to the HSC President

The SAC is separated into three subcommittees: Benefits, Communications, and Staff Development. Staff employees can send inquires, comments or suggestions to the Council using the Issue Proposal Form, or you may contact any of the council members in the member lists.
