Registration open for funshoot benefiting CTRC

SAN ANTONIO (Aug. 2, 2013) — Registration is underway for the 20th annual Vulcan Materials Funshoot, a sporting-clay competition benefiting the Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. This year’s fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7.
Individuals can sign up to shoot for $350 per person. Sponsorships are available at three levels with all sponsorships including a team of five shooters. Sponsor levels are platinum, at $5,000; diamond, at $2,500; and gold, at $1,500. Businesses and individuals also can donate items for the silent and live auctions.
The competition is held at the National Shooting Complex, 5931 Roft Road, off Culebra Road and outside Loop 1604. In the past 19 years, Vulcan Materials Southwest Division has raised more than $1.83 million to support the CTRC’s mission to conquer cancer through research, prevention and treatment.
