Radiology chair appointed

Gerald D. “Chip” Dodd III, M.D., has been named chairman of the department of radiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
A professor of radiology, Dr. Dodd joined the Health Science Center in 1994. He previously was an associate professor in the department of radiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
He attended Texas A&M University and received his doctor of medicine degree from The University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center in 1983. Three years later, he completed his residency in radiology at the University of Cincinnati Hospital, where he was a chief resident and then a fellow in abdominal imaging and angio-intervention.
