Faculty who participate in collaborative research projects might be interested in attending a workshop on UTHSCSA Virtual from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, in Room SL 222 in the School of Nursing. UTHSCSA Virtual is an electronic virtual community which allows users to interact in real time with colleagues down the hall or across the country.
With UTHSCSA Virtual, people from all over campus and at distant sites can contribute to online meetings and conferences without leaving their offices. The hands-on workshop will allow participants to learn the capabilities of UTHSCSA Virtual and learn how to register, log-in and communicate. Attendees will learn how to use the shared desktop feature of UTHSCSA Virtual, as well as participate in a mock meeting. An online demonstration of UTHSCSA Virtual will also be presented.
The registration deadline is June 16 and there is no fee for registered participants. The class will accommodate up to 30 participants. To register, call Stacey French at (210) 567-0934 or send an e-mail to
