The Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) is hosting its sixth annual Run 4 Life event at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 in Brackenridge Park.

The 5K run raises money to support free screening mammograms, follow-up care to uninsured women at risk for breast cancer, free prostate screenings and cancer research. The run also supports a children's education program, called Team Health, throughout city schools.

The entire family is welcome to attend the run. The run will be followed by a Children's Team Health Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. A Health Science Center health fair and children's area will be open to all runners and spectators beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Both competitive and non-competitive runners are encouraged to participate. For more information on how to register for the run, or to form your own running team, visit the CTRC’s Web site at www.ctrc.net or call the CTRC’s information line at (210) 616-5555.
