Clinical professor will assume Radiological Society of North America presidency at annual meeting

David Hussey, M.D., clinical professor in the department of radiation oncology, will assume presidency of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) at the society’s 90th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in November in Chicago.

The RSNA is an association of more than 35,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists and related scientists committed to promoting excellence in radiology through education and by fostering research, with the ultimate goal of improving patient care. The society hosts the largest medical meeting in the world each year, bringing nearly 60,000 people to its scientific assembly in Chicago.

Dr. Hussey is a past president of both the American Radium Society and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. Dr. Hussey’s career interests have focused on resident education, supply and demand for radiation oncologists, unconventional radiotherapy fractionation schedules, testicular and head and neck cancer, and fast neutron radiation therapy.
