Nominations are now being accepted for the Presidential Clinical Excellence Awards and the Employee Excellence in Service Awards.
The Presidential Clinical Excellence Award Committee, was established to recognize excellence in clinical service provided by Health Science Center faculty. Full time faculty who provide clinical service as a defined part of their faculty appointment are eligible. Any faculty or staff member in a Health Science Center affiliated treatment setting may initiate and coordinate the development of a nomination packet. The committee then reviews all nomination packets and makes not more than three recommendations to the President for the annual award, to be presented at the Presidential Awards ceremony in January 2005.
Anyone interested in organizing and submitting a nomination packet for this award may call Martha Almazan at (210) 567-2648 or send an e-mail to
almazan@uthscsa.edu, and request that the forms be sent electronically or as hard copy. The deadline for nomination packets is Friday.
Nominations are now also being accepted for the Presidential Employee Excellence in Service Awards. These awards recognize some of the university’s brightest, most dedicated and hard working administrative, professional and classified employees. Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., president of the Health Science Center, will recognize the winners in January with a plaque and a check for $1,000.
Hard copies can be obtained from the human resources office located in Room 114A in the Administration Building and in the office of external affairs in Room 306L in the School of Medicine.
