Surgery names October Employee of the Month

The winner of October's Surgery Employee of the Month is Dona T. Modrzynski from thoracic surgery.

"She is quietly effective, which means she accomplishes tasks without bringing recognition to herself, or giving herself compliments," said Scott M. Johnson, M.D., associate professor in the division of cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Johnson nominated Modrzynski for the award. "She is consistently dependable for difficult duties, and is the go-to person in the office when a task needs to be completed."

October nominees:
Eileen M. Kleffner, Office of Education
Margaret E. Nethken, Personnel Services
Cynthia A. Garza, Accounting Services
Dona T. Modrzynski, Division of Cardiothoracic
Leslie DeHart, South Texas Poison Center
Gayle L. Beach, Transplant Center
Wayne C. Varner, Surgical Informatics Network Group

November nominations are due 11/15 to Ray Galbreath.
