The university community is invited to attend The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio’s annual President’s Excellence Awards Ceremony scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, in the auditorium. The awards will recognize 16 employees who have demonstrated dedication and hard work in service, research, clinical care and teaching.
Five staff members, who were nominated by their co-workers, will receive the Presidential Employee Excellence in Service Awards and a $1,000 cash prize. Faculty members will be honored for their excellence in education, research and clinical practice when Dr. Cigarroa distributes the Presidential Junior Research Scholar Award, the Presidential Clinical Excellence Award, the Presidential Teaching Excellence Award and the Presidential Distinguished Scholar Award to 11 deserving faculty members.
