Faculty, staff, residents, alumni, students and their spouses are invited to participate in the office of student life-sponsored Spring 2005 Intramural Sports. Registration is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. Jan, 26, 27 and 28 in the School of Medicine snack area.

All teams and individuals will be accepted during the registration period on a first come, first served basis until all the slots are filled. Teams must have the minimum number of players to sign up. There will be no refund of registration fees.

Entry forms can be obtained from the registration table on the day of registration, the recreation office in Room 340L in the Medical School or on the Web at studentservices.uthscsa.edu/recreation/text/signup.html.

Events

Kickboxing and Kickbox Circuit
Beginning in February there will be kickboxing classes in the auditorium foyer. The classes will incorporate punches, kicks, footwork, sports drills and interval and circuit training. The classes will use equipment such as jump ropes, resistance tubing, stability balls and kickboxing targets and shields. Classes will run for six weeks, meeting twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Classes start Tuesday Feb. 15.
Cost: $25

Flag Football
Games will be scheduled for Wednesday nights and will be played on the outfield of the softball field on the west side of campus. Teams must have a minimum of eight players on their rosters with a maximum of 14 players. This league will be limited to eight teams unless otherwise authorized by the HSC sports coordinator.
Cost: $175 per team

Men’s Three on Three Basketball League
The games will be scheduled for Thursday nights and will be played on the Health Science Center’s outdoor basketball court. The number of teams accepted will be limited. Each team consists of at least three players and not more than six.
Cost: $50 per team

Volleyball
Six-on-Six Coed League games will be played on Thursday nights.
Cost: Students, $6 per team member
Faculty, staff, residents, spouses and alumni, $12 per team member

Tennis League
Individuals interested in playing tennis on Tuesday evenings can stop by the registration table and sign-up. There is no fee or cost to participate.

Men’s and Coed Softball League
Teams interested in the Men’s League can sign up to play on Tuesday nights. Coed games will be scheduled for Monday nights. A minimum of 14 players and a maximum of 20 is allowed. Coed teams consist of four females and six males on the playing field.
Cost: Students, $10 per team member
Faculty, staff, residents, spouses and alumni, $20 per team member
