You may have noticed a slight change in the HSC News recently. Jacquelyn Spruce joined the Health Science Center this month as the new editor of the faculty and staff newsletter.

Spruce is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University at College Station with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She has a well-rounded background in journalism, including producing and reporting a daily radio show that aired to Bryan/College Station and writing for the Texas A&M newspaper, The Battalion. Spruce also had the opportunity to intern at WOAI-TV in San Antonio and direct a public relations campaign for Texas A&M athletics.

Spruce said her experience at the Health Science Center has already been extremely positive. “I look forward to working with such a great group of people at this well-respected institution. I hope to help continue the tradition of excellence.”

Jacquelyn Spruce is the daughter of the late Jack Spruce who worked in the internal audit department from 1980-1997. She said she is proud to follow in her father’s footsteps as a successful employee at the Health Science Center.
