The Sam and Ann Barshop Institute and San Antonio Life Sciences Institute (S.A.L.S.I.) will sponsor the Second Annual Biology of Learning and Memory Symposium Feb. 17-18.

The bioscience Ph.D. students at The University of Texas at San Antonio will host the symposium with the goal of enlightening students, faculty and scientific community about the relationship between the hippocampus and its functional importance.

It will consist of lectures that will include crucial aspects to understanding the importance of hippocampal learning and memory.

The symposium will give the community the opportunity to listen and gain knowledge from professors from across the country. It will be held at the Retama Room, University Center at the UTSA-1604 campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reservations are required. For more information or to R.S.V.P., contact Alberto W.
