The 2005 Education Research Methods (ERM) course, sponsored by the Education Research and Development of Academic Informatics Services, presents the fourth workshop in the series, “Protecting and Respecting Human Subjects: Why and How.”
The workshop, from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 20 in Room 4.484T in the Dental School, will provide a review of the history of ethical codes and social policies developed and adopted to redress the past abuses of human subjects and to codify the present obligations of medical researches. An interactive discussion of how this cultural and ethical history informs both the responsibilities and the challenges of educational research.
The course will be presented by Tess Jones, Ph.D., associate director in the Center for Medical Humanities and Ethics.
