The Committee for the Advancement of Women and Minorities announces the availability of a new feature on its web site. The feature is called "Current Views on Women's and Minorities Issues." It will be featured periodically and will contain a variety of topics that pertain to issues of particular interest to women and minorities.

This Spring, the web site features an article by Leonard E. Lawrence, M.D., associate dean for student affairs in the School of Medicine and professor of psychiatry, pediatrics and family and community medicine at the Health Science Center, titled "Committee for the Advancement of Women and Minorities: What is it and where did it come from?" To view the article, click on the link: www.uthscsa.edu/comm/cawm/oped-lawrence.html.

In addition, Janet Williams, M.D., associate professor in the department of pediatrics, has written a timeline about the formation of the committee. To view it, click on: www.uthscsa.edu/comm/cawm/oped.html.
