In June 2005 the president and the Executive Committee approved a rate increase for Information Management and Services (IMS). This is the first increase of IMS labor rates since 1992. Since service organizations are required to maintain a strong financial model, the approved rate increase will help IMS become more financially stable.

“We are confident that our rates will still be well below what can be found in the private sector,” said A. Jerome York, vice president and chief information officer. “On the other hand, we understand the extra burden these increased costs may have on departmental operations, and we stand ready to continue to work with customers and help in any cost comparisons that they may wish to undertake.”

A complete list of the IMS labor rates can be found on the IMS website: www.uthscsa.edu/imsservices/rates.html.
