Active United Way volunteer Ginny Costello, administrative assistant in family and community medicine, invites the Health Science Center community to participate in a program supporting children in need of clothes and school supplies.
Each year, Daughters of Charity Services of San Antonio sponsors the
Adopt-A-Child, Back-to-School Program. Volunteers are needed to set up gift boxes and supplies, and help distribute them to the needy children and their families. The gathering and distribution of the items will take place Aug. 5-6 at St. Clare Parish Hall, 7815 Somerset Road.
Daughters of Charity Services is a United Way agency that strives to meet the needs of the community with quality service by providing quality, affordable medical and dental care, as well as childcare and social services for the working poor in south San Antonio and Bexar County.
