If you’re looking for fun way to support the American Heart Association and Health Science Center research, the American Heart Association’s 2005 Heart Walk may be the perfect opportunity for you and your family.
Funds raised from the Heart Walk will support the American Heart Association’s mission to reduce the prevalence of coronary heart disease and stroke. The Health Science Center currently holds 21 grants from the American Heart Association, which assist researchers in discovering ways to fight heart disease and stroke, two of America's top killers.
The 5K walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living, and will be held Sept. 17 at Milam Park. An interactive health fair, children’s area and entertainment will also be a part of the event.
Participating in the walk will help provide more opportunities for research grants, and contribute to saving lives.
