Each year, the Health Science Center gives excellence awards to the “best of the best” faculty members. Up to six recipients of the Presidential Teaching Excellence Awards are individually honored during the annual faculty awards presentation in January.
Faculty members may be nominated by:
A chair of an academic department,
Two faculty members,
Or three students, residents or fellows.
Nomination forms may be obtained from the president’s office, department chairs and class presidents. Completed nomination forms should be returned to the president’s office by Oct. 3.
To be eligible, nominees must have taught as a full-time faculty member at the Health Science Center for at least three consecutive years and must not have received this award within the past 8 years.
