The School of Allied Health Sciences is hosting a penny drive. Jars are located in departmental offices throughout the school for individuals to donate money. All money raised will go to the American Red Cross.

Juntos Podemos student organization in the School of Nursing is collecting the following:

• Non-perishable foods
• Baby formula
• Bottled water
• Diapers, Depends, feminine hygiene products
• Toys/books

Boxes for items are located in the entrance hallway to the new School of Nursing building and in front of the elevator in the other building. Items will be taken to the Salvation Army at the end of each week.

Blood donations needed

The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center says blood donations are needed and can be made at their local center. Much of the blood will be used for the refugees who have been relocated to San Antonio.

Office of student life also serves as donation collection site (MED: 340L)

The staff will be delivering goods directly to KellyUSA. Collections are accepted through Sept. 16. If necessary, the effort could continue thereafter.
