Student-artists who have completed the Health Science Center’s Sex Education Program will be honored tomorrow, Sept. 14 for unique drawings, literary pieces or musical compositions they submitted during the program. The 2005 Creative Arts Contest Award Ceremony will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Health Science Center’s auditorium.
The artwork reflects positive values the individuals learned from Worth the Wait, the curriculum used in the Sex Education Program.
The Sex Education Program, supported by a grant from the State Department of Health Services, seeks to empower teens to make decisions based on facts such as the problem of unwanted teen pregnancies and the ramifications of sexually transmitted diseases.
To attend the ceremony, please RSVP to (210) 567-7036 or to
WorthTheWait@uthscsa.edu.
