Cigarroa, M.D., welcomes Health Science Center volunteers, as well as volunteers from the VA and University Hospital, to a reception at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium foyer where he will recognize these individuals’ dedication and hard work.
Those who cared for evacuees of Hurricane Katrina, the leaders of Gifts for Children and the Special Events Council, the Texas Medical Rangers, the departmental coordinators for the State Employee Charitable Campaign, those who offered their homes to Hurricane Rita evacuees and those who mentor at local schools are extremely valuable to our community.
“Let me thank you personally for your spirit of volunteerism that is so important to our entire community,” President Cigarroa says.
