Health Science Center President Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., will honor some of our institution’s most outstanding employees during the 2006 Presidential Awards Ceremony, Thursday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. at the central campus auditorium. A reception in the foyer will follow.
“We will recognize the very best examples of excellence in teaching, research, clinical care and employee service,” Dr. Cigarroa said.
President Cigarroa will honor exceptional individuals in six distinctive categories:
• Presidential Distinguished Scholar Award
• Presidential Teaching Excellence Award
• Presidential Clinical Excellence Award
• Presidential Junior Research Scholar Award
• Presidential Employee Excellence Award
• Presidential Ambassador Scholar Award
The ceremony will also be transmitted to Health Science Center campuses at the Texas Research Park, Laredo and Harlingen.
