A faculty coalition hosted a two-hour workshop Jan. 18 designed to bring together junior and senior faculty members for discussions concerning career development and promotion. The workshop began with a helpful overview from Theresa Chiang, Ed.D., vice president for academic administration, followed by comments from the current and immediate-past chairs of the promotion and tenure committee. The approximately 125 faculty members who attended then gathered into small groups for open round-table discussions. The discussions were designed to exchange strategies for successfully guiding non-tenure track faculty to promotion.
