The University of Texas System is please to welcome Brian J. Haley, a student regent, to the U.T. System Board of Regents.
The Board of Regents is the governing body for The University of Texas System and is composed of nine members who are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. Throughout the more than 100-year history of the U.T. System, the Board has been composed of dedicated and distinguished Texans who have been strong advocates of excellence in academic programs, scientific inquiry and responsible public service.
Brian J. Haley, a law student at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, plans to graduate with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 2008.
Haley was appointed as the first student regent by Gov. Rick Perry on Feb. 3, 2006. His term expires Feb. 1, 2007.
