When Stephanie Valdez, administrative assistant in the division of general surgery, organizes an event such as a journal club meeting, literature conference or meetings with residents, there is never a loose end. And, when challenging situations arrive, colleagues can always count on Stephanie, as she is always ready for a new task. Her many outstanding attributes are what made the department of surgery select her to receive January’s Employee of the Month Award.
“She has only worked in the division of general surgery for nine months,” says one of her colleagues. “But, she has managed to quickly and successfully adapt to her new duties. She has clearly gone the extra mile.”
Stephanie was recognized with a $100 Simon Gift Card that can be used anywhere VISA is accepted. She will also be eligible to receive the Employee of the Year Award – a Royal Caribbean Cruise.
