The Research Advocate, a publication of Research!America.
Dr. Herman was recognized in
The Research Advocate’s “Media Matters” section, which highlighted professionals who were interviewed about recent opinion polls that revealed the majority of Texans support stem cell research.
Dr. Herman was interviewed on WOAI-AM and KAHL-AM in San Antonio.
“The poll suggests that Texans recognize the importance of biomedical research, that they understand the impact it has on stimulating key sectors of the Texas economy, and that they strongly support the training of tomorrow’s bench scientists and clinician scientists,” Dr. Herman said.
Research!America leads the movement for strong, increased investment in the budgets of the National Institutes of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It works to raise awareness of the importance of effective collaboration among the nation’s government, industry, academic and philanthropic research sectors.
