The department of family and community medicine is pleased to welcome nationally-recognized William MacMillan Rodney, M.D., as the presenter of the March 24 grand rounds.
Dr. Rodney, an adjunct professor of family medicine and adjunct professor in surgery/emergency medicine at the Meharry Medical College-Vanderbilt University, will present “Integrating Procedures into Family Medicine,” from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday in Room 309L in the medical school. His presentation will also be video-conferenced to the University Health Center downtown (Brady Green), CMA North and CMA South Clinics, McAllen, Harlingen, Laredo and Corpus Christi.
Dr. Rodney was recently awarded the distinguished educator award for teaching procedural workshops, seminars and main stage lectures from the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has more than $2 million in grant awards, and endless lists of peer-reviewed research, scholarly reviews in peer-reviewed publications, peer-reviewed case reports and editorially-reviewed publications.
A 1976 graduate of Cornell University Medical College, New York, Dr. Rodney has a well-rounded background in both general and private family practice, as well as emergency medicine.
