Robert A. Clark, M.D., professor and chair of the department of medicine and the Dan F. Parman Distinguished Chair in Medicine at the Health Science Center, was elected a Master of the American College of Physicians (M.A.C.P.) at the College’s Annual Session in Philadelphia, Pa., April 7.
William L. Henrich, M.D., M.A.C.P., dean of the School of Medicine and vice president for medical affairs at the Health Science Center, was inducted as a Master along with Dr. Clark. Dr. Henrich was elected to the M.A.C.P. designation last year but was unable to attend the induction ceremony at that time.
Masters of the American College of Physicians are highly distinguished physicians, selected from among Fellows of the College, who have achieved recognition in medicine by exhibiting preeminence in practice or medical research, holding positions of high honor, or making significant contributions to medical science or the art of medicine.
An estimated 6,000 physicians attended this year’s Annual Session.
