Recognizing the importance of education and the generosity of supporters, more than 40 Health Science Center scholarship recipients gathered to pay tribute to donors last week. Among the donors present was U.S. Congressman Henry Bonilla, who provides the Congressman Henry Bonilla Health Professions Scholarship.

“My goal is that no bright, ambitious student who wants to become a doctor or nurse, a dentist or a scientist, or an allied health professional should ever have his or her dreams put on hold for lack of finances,” said Francisco G. Cigarroa, M.D., president of the Health Science Center. “It is wonderful to know that our donors are helping to educate the students who will spend their lives aiding generations.”
